Iodine and Iodine Derivatives

Worldwide, we are the leading manufacturer of iodine, since the world’s largest reserves of “Caliche” (the mineral from which iodine is produced) are located in Northern Chile. Iodine and its derivatives are used in a wide range of medical, agricultural and industrial applications, as well as in human and animal nutritional products.
Through a joint venture with Ajay Chemicals, we produce organic and inorganic iodine derivatives. We are also present in the iodine recycling business in Europe, the United States and Asia.

Contributing to the development of UN Global Compact SDGs

The iodine we produce is the main component for intravenous contrast media for clinical examinations, and is used directly in the production of various drugs, allowing us to be present in health, a strategic industry for human development.
